Naturally, as part of the Ramblers Association we share and implement the association’s aims and objectives (see Links for R A website).

For our own part we are a fairly small, but active and friendly group based in an attractive rural area. Our walks’ programme is varied. There are short (4 to 5 mile) walks in the local area on Wednesday evenings in summer and full day (10 to 12 mile) walks on Sundays throughout the year. These walks often take advantage of our central location. We can within an hour reach walking areas such as Gower, the Beacons, the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean etc and we respect the environment by meeting centrally and sharing cars. We also, occasionally, put on ½ day walks and short walks for those who want a taster.

We regularly walk the footpaths of our home patch and try to maintain their quality by organising, in the summer, path clearance evenings followed by recuperation in one of the Vale’s many hostelries. Our social calendar includes pub nights, group meals and weekends away.
